User Migration Bundle for Microsoft 365 moves
One licence per person moves the mailbox, OneDrive or Google Drive files, PST archives and Teams chats into Microsoft 365, then sets up Outlook remotely. We supply it and run the move.
- One licence per person
- Mailbox, files and PST archives
- Teams chats moved too
- Outlook set up remotely
One licence per person for mail, files and archives
The User Migration Bundle is a MigrationWiz licence from BitTitan that covers everything one person needs moved: their mailbox, their personal archive, their OneDrive or Google Drive files and, between Microsoft 365 tenants, their Teams private chats. It also includes DeploymentPro, which sets up Outlook on each Windows PC remotely once the mailbox has moved.
We supply the licences, run the migration and support your staff afterwards.
Each licence has no data limit and stays valid for 12 months from purchase. That matters more than it sounds. A 40 GB mailbox with ten years of PST files costs the same to move as a small one, and we can move email this week and files next month under the same licence, or run a mailbox again if something needs redoing.
It is the tool we reach for when an office moves from Google Workspace, an Exchange server, a web host or another Microsoft 365 tenant. For the wider picture, including SharePoint, Teams and day-to-day support, see our Microsoft 365 support page.
What the User Migration Bundle moves
The bundle covers each person’s own data. Shared data, such as SharePoint sites, Google shared drives and Teams channels, uses separate MigrationWiz licences that we add to the quote when your move needs them.
| Data | Common sources | Where it lands |
|---|---|---|
| Email, calendars, contacts and tasks | Exchange Server 2010 or later, Google Workspace, IMAP mail from web hosts, Zimbra, GoDaddy’s Microsoft 365, another Microsoft 365 tenant | The person’s Microsoft 365 mailbox |
| Personal archives | PST files, Exchange archives, Microsoft 365 archives, Google Vault | The Microsoft 365 archive mailbox, searchable from Outlook |
| Personal files | OneDrive for Business, Google Drive | OneDrive for Business |
| Teams private chats | Another Microsoft 365 tenant | Teams in the new tenant, with chat history, formatting, emojis and GIFs |
| Outlook profile | Classic Outlook on Windows PCs | A new profile pointed at Microsoft 365, set up by DeploymentPro |
Shared mailboxes and room calendars can move too, but only if they can be signed into on the old system. We check each one during planning and say how it will be licensed.
How MigrationWiz moves mail without stopping work
MigrationWiz is a cloud service. It signs in to the old system and the new one with administrator access and copies data between them, so there is nothing to install on your server and staff keep working the whole time.
We run the move in passes. The first pass copies everything older than a set date, often 30 days, while the old system stays live. On cutover day your domain’s mail records are switched to Microsoft 365, and a final pass picks up the most recent mail and anything that changed.
Because the licence runs for 12 months, a mailbox that needs another pass a week later costs nothing extra.
What the reports tell us
- Items copied, skipped and failed for every mailbox and drive, so nothing is assumed
- The reason behind each failure, such as an attachment over Microsoft 365’s 150 MB message limit, so it can be dealt with one by one
- Progress across all users at once, which tells us when it is safe to switch the mail records
On moves from Google, Gmail labels become Outlook folders, and Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are converted to Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on their way into OneDrive.
DeploymentPro: Outlook set up on every PC without a desk visit
After a mailbox moves, every Windows PC still has an Outlook profile pointing at the old system. Fixing that by hand means a technician at each desk on Monday morning. DeploymentPro does it remotely. A small agent goes out to each PC ahead of time through Group Policy or our remote management tools, and at cutover it builds the new profile.
What it does
- Creates a new Outlook profile connected to Microsoft 365 and makes it the default
- Attaches PST files stored on the PC to the new profile
- Copies the person’s autocomplete list and email signatures across
- Sets Outlook to keep 12 months of mail on the PC, which keeps the local data file small
- Leaves the old profile untouched, so there is a way back if it is ever needed
What it does not do
- Install or update Office or Outlook
- Choose the default signature for new messages and replies, which we set or show staff how to set
- Attach PST files kept on a network drive, which move through the archive migration instead
DeploymentPro needs classic Outlook on Windows while it runs. Microsoft is moving Windows users to the new Outlook, so we run DeploymentPro before anyone switches, and staff can move to the new Outlook afterwards. Macs, iPhones and Android phones are re-added by hand or pushed through Intune, which takes a few minutes per device.
Moves we use it for
Most offices come to us from one of these starting points. Each has its own catches, and the bundle handles the user side of all of them.
Google Workspace to Microsoft 365
Gmail, calendars and contacts move to Outlook, and each person’s Google Drive moves to OneDrive with Google files converted to Office formats. Shared drives need a separate licence. Warn staff who have used Gmail for years that a message with several labels shows up in several folders after the move.
Exchange server to Microsoft 365
Exchange Server 2016 and 2019 reached end of support in October 2025, so an office still running one has unpatched software facing the internet. The bundle moves mailboxes and archives straight from the server, and years of PST files kept on laptops and shared drives can go into each person’s archive mailbox at the same time. Our server and Exchange page covers what happens to the server afterwards.
Microsoft 365 tenant to tenant
Mergers, acquisitions, rebrands and splits all end with people moving from one Microsoft 365 tenant to another. The bundle moves each person’s mailbox, OneDrive and Teams private chats. For SharePoint sites and Teams channels, BitTitan’s Tenant Migration Bundle adds a second licence for either one, and we quote whichever your move needs.
Leaving GoDaddy’s Microsoft 365
Many small businesses bought Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy and later want full admin access or a different partner. Moving out of a GoDaddy-hosted tenant is usually a migration rather than a setting, and the bundle handles it like any other tenant move.
Email from a web host or IMAP server
Offices on email from a web host move each mailbox over IMAP. Calendars and contacts usually do not come across that way, so we export them separately where the host allows it.
Which Microsoft 365 plan to move onto
A migration is the best moment to pick the right plan, because every account is being set up anyway. These are the three plans we recommend most often. One tenant can mix them, for example E3 for a few people and Business Premium for everyone else, and all three include Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat.
| Plan | Best fit | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 Business Premium | Offices of up to 300 people | Desktop Office apps, Exchange Online Archiving for PST imports, Intune device management, Microsoft Defender for Business on laptops, Defender for Office 365 email protection, Conditional Access and Purview data loss prevention |
| Microsoft 365 E3 | Organizations over 300 people, or those needing Windows Enterprise and more compliance tools | No seat limit, archive mailboxes, Windows Enterprise, Intune and Entra ID P1, plus Defender for Office 365 Plan 1, Intune Plan 2 and Intune Remote Help added in July 2026 |
| Microsoft 365 E5 | Regulated firms, and organizations that want Microsoft’s full security stack | Everything in E3 plus Defender for Endpoint Plan 2, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Entra ID P2 risk-based sign-in, Purview eDiscovery Premium and insider risk tools, Power BI Pro and Security Copilot |
Our usual advice is Business Premium for almost every office under 300 people, because its security tools replace several separate products. E3 fits when you pass 300 users or need Windows Enterprise features. E5 fits when a regulator, insurer or major client expects advanced threat protection and eDiscovery, or when the separate security tools you already pay for cost more than the step up. We usually set licences up on an annual commitment billed monthly, and review them every year so nobody pays for a plan they do not use.
What slows a migration down, and how we plan around it
Most delays come from data nobody knew was there. We look for these during planning so they do not turn up on cutover weekend.
- PST files on network drives and old laptops, often tens of gigabytes per person, which we gather and move into archive mailboxes
- Messages with attachments over Microsoft 365’s 150 MB limit, which cannot be imported and are listed for their owners
- Mailboxes larger than the new plan allows, which need the archive mailbox turned on first so older mail has somewhere to go
- File paths longer than the 400 characters OneDrive allows, common in deep folder trees copied from a file server or Google Drive
- Shared mailboxes nobody can sign into, which need a password or permissions sorted before they can move
- Admin access to the old system that a previous provider or a departed employee still holds
- Sign-in policies that block the migration service until an exception is set for the length of the move
Once everyone has moved, multi-factor sign-in goes on for every account. Clients on our managed IT plan also get Microsoft 365 backup from the first day in the new tenant.
How a User Migration Bundle project is quoted
You get one fixed quote before work starts. It covers the migration licences, our planning and migration work and cutover support, and it lists the Microsoft 365 licences separately so you can see the monthly cost on its own. If a move also needs shared document or Teams licences, they are on the same quote.

Questions people ask
What is the User Migration Bundle?
It is a per-user licence for BitTitan's MigrationWiz service. One licence moves a person's mailbox, personal archive and OneDrive or Google Drive files, covers Teams private chats between Microsoft 365 tenants, and includes DeploymentPro for setting up Outlook remotely. It has no data limit and lasts 12 months from purchase.
Is there a limit on how much data each person can move?
No. The User Migration Bundle has no data limit, so a large mailbox with years of archives is covered by the same licence as a small one. Shared documents and Teams channels use other licences, which have their own limits.
Will staff lose email during the move?
No. Older mail is copied while staff keep working on the old system. On cutover day the mail records are switched and a final pass copies what arrived in between, so mail sent during the move is picked up.
Does DeploymentPro work with the new Outlook?
It needs classic Outlook on Windows while it runs. Once the new profile is in place, staff can switch to the new Outlook if they want to, so we run DeploymentPro before anyone makes that switch.
Does the bundle move SharePoint sites and Teams channels?
No. It covers each person's own data. SharePoint sites, Google shared drives and Teams channels use MigrationWiz shared document or Teams licences, or BitTitan's Tenant Migration Bundle for moves between Microsoft 365 tenants. We include whichever your move needs in the quote.
Should we choose Business Premium or Microsoft 365 E3?
Business Premium suits most offices of up to 300 people and includes strong security and device management. E3 has no user limit and adds Windows Enterprise and more compliance tools. Many organizations mix the two and give E3 only to the people who need it.
Can our old PST files be moved into Microsoft 365?
Yes. PST files on laptops and shared drives go into each person's archive mailbox, where they can be searched from Outlook and on the web and are included in your Microsoft 365 backup if you have one. After that the PST files can be retired.
