The current version of Microsoft Exchange is Microsoft Exchange 2016. Microsoft has discontinued support for Exchange server 2010 & Exchange server 2007. Any organization running MS Exchange 2003,2207 or 2010 needs to update to Exchange 2013 or Exchange 2016 to receive support from Microsoft.
Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 and Microsoft Small business server 2011 runs Exchange server 2007. Since SBS server is not supported by Microsoft anymore, it is highly recommended to migrate the SBS server to a later version of Windows server and Microsoft Exchange. For email migration, there are a couple of options. The first option is to Migrate to on-premise Microsoft Exchange server 2016 or Migrate to Exchange in the Microsoft Cloud which is email in Office 365.
